An uifknown anarchist this morning entered the Merchants National Bank here and demanded a large sum of money, at the same time displaying a Ixrttle beliered to con tain nitro-glyccrine, and threaten edto blow np the bank if his re quest was not complied with. Information received from Shelton Laurel is to the effect that Miss Ida Franklin, who last Friday was shot by Miss Parzada Shelton, and who at that time was reported to have been fatally injured, now has a good chance for recovery, and it is understood that Miss Pardoza, who is at present confiined in jail in Tennessee, in which state she sought refuge after the shooting will probably be released, as in the absence of any evidence of any sec ret assault requisition papers will of Q.W.F. Up A Port Jervis dispatch to the Philadelphia Record says: A cow on the farm of William Johnson, near IJerryville, blew up last night and was partly consumed by fire. Johnson hadjeft two gallons of kerosene in the barnyard, and the pail containing it was mysteriously emptied. While Johnson was trying to find what had become of it one of his sous told him there was a sick cow in the barnyard. Johnson found the cow bloated and nearly dead. He lighted a lantern near the cow's head, and the minute he did so, he claims, the match ignited the kerosene about the cow's muzzle and it began to burn. A moment later there was a vio lent explosion. The cow was al most dismembered. Thursday as was intended, but hope we will have it in good time.
